Anybody out there have any tips for a chef looking to move to Ottawa? ie. know any other chefs up there or restauranteurs? He is currently in Golden BC, a longtime member here, an all around good guy and a great chef! Goldengrooves was his handle here I think...

Agreed. Only comment would be that it is not the most kid friendly of events if you are planning on taking the fam. If not, two thumbs up.

In case anyone is following this thread - I went to Telegramme and it was AWESOME. They do a lot of concert print framing. They were very helpful. And the prices were way lower then the other frame store I tried. (I'm getting 4 done for less than 2 would have been at the first place and I like what they showed me better ta boot). No finished product yet - but very excited.

Anyone have any good frame store referrals for the GTA, or even K-W / Hamilton/Brantford etc.? I have a bunch of stuff I need to get done and it sure ain't cheap. Went to the closest one to my house and a couple were going to cost almost $300 each - and I didn't even love what we had picked out. My next plan was to buy the stuff and do it myself, but I'm wisening up there. Any tips? ps. why do all the concert posters have to be weird sizes anyways? Damn hippies.

anyone have any insight into the Paul Simon Docks show tonight? There are still tickets on sale. It may have been one of those shows with only in person / electronic tickets. Tix are $70 but its $55 plus service. Anyone know if a) they would be $55 at the door or they'd try and fill the place (dreaming of that Van Morrison show a few years back that was about $5 last minute. I would like to see Paul Simon but for a variety of reasons can't justify $70 right now... Cheers

I have no doubt that employers will be all over this as time goes on. Specifically in any wrongful dismissal litigation etc. etc. Lawyers and police use black boxes from vehicles. There is no reason to think they won't use smart phones. Where is my app to stop this?

check farecast.com It tells you if its likely to go up or down and what the cheapest has been etc. etc. I always book through teh airline now. Way easier (though still painstakingly mind-dumbingly difficult) to get customer service if shit goes down...
