  1. Would like to go to this. It's probably also time to start thinking about their return to Hamilton.
  2. Great vid of Sam at CTMF Sam Klass feat Eddie Max - Spiral Growth
  3. Looking forward to this. Been digging Sam for a while now. Gonna be a good one. And beers with bouche is always a good time. Sam Klass Friday December 7th, Elmdale House 1084 Wellington St West, Ottawa www.samklass.com www.elmdaletavern.com $4 or $10 w/CD New CD, Fluid Identity, available now. Produced by Kevin Park Sam Klass Klass has spent the last 2 years developing a unique live performance of original songs using electric/organic live looping, analog and digital effects, guitar, vocals, and beatboxing. Recently his act has taken him across the continent, from a sold-out Opera House spotlight set for the New Deal’s final hometown show, to a renegade campground stage at Bonnaroo, to Canada Day on the main stage of a downtown Victoria festival - all stemming from a single epic street performance at Nuit Blanche in Toronto that spontaneously drew a crowd of hundreds. Since late 2010 Sam has been building a reputation as a solid solo performer, and has recently added renowned drummer Eddie Max (Fat Cats, Jomamma) to send dance parties over the edge. Sam's 3rd independent release, Fluid Identity, explores the possibilities of live looping in a multitrack environment, and is a free (no strings) download from www.samklass.com. Go get it now! Using the momentum of his well attended release party, hit performances at Harvest Festival and Come Together Music Festival, along with an impressive list of world class acts he has shared bills with (including Kaki King, Gramatik, The New Deal, Marco Benevento, Charlie Hunter, Robert Babicz, Daniel Wesley, Killah Priest, Maylee Todd, Deep Dark Woods, The Reason), Sam is expanding his reach and adding more shows all the time. Note: Eddie Max unfortunately will not be playing this show. Jamie Rathbone is on drums.

  7. Adv ticket sales are moving very well and it'll be a great crowd. From my experience these type of shows in Ontario typically don't do as well in the summer compared to the fall or spring. Sorry that I decided not to distribute service fee free adv tix for Ottawa, and I forgot to change the info here. Anytime I'm involved with a show anyone from this board can pm me and i'll sort you out. It's not a prob. Send me a pm and I'll get you adv tickets for the Ottawa show. I have you covered Ollie

DAVIS does first Canadian Tour! We are pleased to announce a triumphant return to Canada with a few choice shows in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, and Hamilton. Surprise Me Mr. Davis is an electro-folk band consisting of folksinger Nathan Moore, the members of avant-rock band The Slip and the newest member, dazzling pianist Marco Benevento. They formed in 2003 in Boston while Moore was visiting The Slip at their apartment and the Blizzard of 2003 hit. They were snowed in at the Barr brothers Mission Hill home for five days with a brand new stereo microphone and computer. This storm was the catalyst for a home recording session. In 2005 they ventured into the Breakglass Studio in Montreal to track some songs which were released in a limited edition on their Only in Montreal EP. The EP is a supercharged electro-folk record with many a tender moment. Now, the long-awaited Surprise Me Mr. Davis recordings from Burlington, Vermont, that many of you know as the demo sessions, are finally available as a 7-track EP entitled That Man Eats Morning For Breakfast. Pick it up at iTunes, Amazon, eMusic and the like as an mp3 download. A limited edition CD will also be available at all of the upcoming shows and now on the SMMD website. The band is beyond pleased to finally have the opportunity to get this music in your hands.
