Here's a fun game you can try ... ask them what they think of John Mayall playing Bluesfest. Bask in the blank looks. Wouldn't work. They're not interested in actual conversation, just their "Blues"-fest circle jerk. It's like a live reddit discussion.
Yeah here at work all people want to talk about is how there's no blues at Bluesfest. I feel like these people are stuck in a time warp from 10 years ago. It's the same conversation every year.
Agreed that this looks like the weakest overall lineup to date but it's still worth getting a pass for me. $199 over 10 days is still only $20 a day. Pretty sure I can find at least one act on each day I'd pay that much to see and some I'd have to pay a lot more.
Lady Gaga has a gaping hole... Jul 02 Centre Bell Centre Montreal, Canada Jul 07 First Niagara Center Buffalo, NY Jul 09 Air Canada Centre Toronto, Canada [color:#CCCCCC]...in her tour schedule.
Curveball! http://pitchfork.com/features/staff-lists/9293-the-top-50-albums-of-2013/ Can someone explain what's so great about the new Vampire Weekend album? I try to get into this band but lose intereest after a few spins. They're OK I guess. Should I be paying more attention to the lyrics?
Thanks! Yeah, their list is pretty easy to predict based on the ratings. It was pretty obvious Yeezus would get album of the year when they gave it a 9.5.
While I'm completely sympathetic to the issues being experienced by the festival attendees, exactly what right to sovereignty do they think they have? I've always been amazed that festivals like this are allowed to happen in the first place.
I've only ever had DSL when it comes to high speed internet. While it might technically be slower than cable I've never had any problems with streaming et al. I'd prioritize the difference pretty low in terms of a deciding factor.
I agree BWM but probably half the crowd would leave as soon as her set started. I'm really disappointed in the replacement but Dallas Green is huge with the kids.
