  1. Well I hope anyone who wanted tickets got them today (or you live in Toronto)...read this on collectiveconcerts.com:
  2. They must have sold out of their pre-sale allotment...just went on and couldn't secure tickets. Unfortunately I was in a meeting and couldn't get out. Oh well. Hopefully I will be able to buy tickets tomorrow. I've never been to this venue, but they show assigned seating...weird that they are general admission!
  3. King of Limbs is now available...they released it a day early.
  4. Great...couldn't find the ticket info anywhere. Thanks for that!
  5. I know there are a few fans of Neutral Milk Hotel on this board...two Toronto dates! 08-12 Toronto, Ontario - Trinity St. Paul's United Church 08-13 Toronto, Ontario - Trinity St. Paul's United Church 09-09 Cambridge, MA - TBA 09-10 Boston, MA - Jordan Hall at New England Conservatory 09-30 Asbury Park, NJ - Paramount Theatre (ATP) 10-03 Asbury Park, NJ - Paramount Theatre (ATP) 10-29 New York, NY - Town Hall 11-06 Jersey City, NJ - Loew's Theatre 12-02 Somerset, England - All Tomorrow's Parties More info...
  6. I don't know if anyone is planning on going to the Centre-in-the-Square show (Tungsten? ) but I have one extra - I stupidly bought one ticket by itself for the show (meant to buy two so I could take my wife). Anyway, there are a couple of things...1) I would have to meet you at the show. The ticket has to be picked up at the show by the purchaser on the actual day of the show. 2) You wouldn't know exactly where your seat would be except in the first 7 rows. I'm guessing its probably pretty good since I got in right away and then when I realized my mistake I went back to buy 2 more and they were still available... but I won't know the exact seat until I pick the ticket up. No idea what kind of demand there will be for this show in KW, but if you try to get tickets tomorrow and they only have bad seats left, let me know and we can work something out. I'd be willing to knock a few bucks off as well...
  7. That really brings back memories...I have that issue, along with a bunch of other commemorative mags from that era (Dupree's, Relix etc.). I think I will break them out and have a look again.
  8. The Centre in the Square has some of the second tier pricing (I think they were $74) left for sure as of 5 minutes ago (office neighbor just bought a couple). I managed to get some first tier pricing (first 7 rows), but I bought a single on my first go through and then had to go through again for two...faak. Not feeling so bright today...just glad they still had tickets when i went back through!
  9. I love the Centre in the Square. I've seen tons of stuff there over the years from musicals, to Tori Amos, to Video Games Live. I think the sound is always great (and I've sat everywhere from the bleeders to front row). The fact that it is a 5 minute walk from my house and I get a lot of free tickets from work helps too of course. Dunno...haven't really seen any super loud/heavy stuff there before, but I'm willing to give it a chance. I made the mistake of not going to see Leonard Cohen there a few years ago. Not going to make the same mistake with the Pixies.
  10. Well that was a fun read. Bill is one weird but funny guy.
  11. Total shot in the dark here, but try hitting ctrl F5 That should refresh your page and clear your cache...I am wondering if your browser is maybe using a cached version of the page...
  12. Thanks Russ. Good stuff!
  13. Wow what a loss. I wasn't aware he even had cancer. Just re-read "Life of Hope" a month ago. One of my favourite Canadian authors. I think I have all of his books except his first one (The Service I think?) I really enjoyed the Blue Rodeo special he narrated as well.
  14. I got this: Which I wasn't as thrilled with as I thought I would be. Its alright, but the novelty wears thin VERY quickly. Also got this: Which I haven't read yet because I decided to re-read the entire "trilogy" again first...finishing up book 4 right now. Didn't get as many books as usual so I'll have to hit the bookstore soon. Keeping my eye on this thread for some good suggestions!
  15. I caught bits and pieces of this over the past few days...the eulogy for Graham Chapman was priceless. As a big Python fan over the years it was great to see some of the behind the scenes footage. Its available on Amazon right now too... Almost the Truth
  16. Damn looks like I shoulda waited!
  17. Looks like we'll be neighbours QQC. I'm in E as well (seats 7&9). Screwed up for massey hall presale (didn't go in early) so I wanted to make up for it. Looks like we'll probably be about 12 or 13 rows back when you look at the seating chart (after the double letter rows). Not bad at all. Thought it was Row L at first...but it was Orch L (left I assume) lol. See you guys there!
  18. Definitely US funds: February 23, 2010 Hamilton Place Theatre - Hamilton, ON Tickets: $43.00 USD Seating: Reserved Pit and Orchestra Doors: 6:30pm / Show 7:30pm
  19. Don't forget there is the Wilco pre-sale today (Wednesday) @10 am through Frontgate tickets. Wilco Presale According to Frontgate these tix are $43 (US I assume) so I guess they are a little more expensive than the presale above...worth it if they are good seats though!
  20. A personal photographer hero of mine...thanks for the gallery.
  21. I'm gonna go with 9...probably not exact, but from what I remember it was pretty close to 9 anyway.
  22. Setlist (copied from the Via Chicago board): 1. Wilco (The Song) 2. I Am Trying To Break Your Heart 3. Bull Black Nova 4. You Are My Face 5. One Wing 6. A Shot In The Arm 7. Either Way 8. Impossible Germany 9. I'll Fight 10. Handshake Drugs 11. Pot Kettle Black 12. How To Fight Loneliness 13. Jesus, etc. 14. Hate It Here 15. Theologians 16. I'm The Man Who Loves You ----------------------------- 17. Heavy Metal Drummer 18. You Never Know (w/Liam Finn) 19. Can't Stand It 20. Walken 21. Monday 22. Outtamind (Outta Site) 23. Hoodoo Voodoo Lots of highlights for me...Pot Kettle Black, How to Fight Loneliness, Monday, the Jesus etc. sing along. Bull Black Nova was great in concert as I expected...Nels was amazing as usual. Great show over all. Wish I was going again tonight...have fun!
  23. Its an OHL hockey arena...pretty old, never been to a concert there...just lots of Kitchener Ranger games. Its also a pretty small venue (compared to some of the big venues I have seen Bob at anyway). Turns out I won't be able to go due to previous commitments. Hope some of you can go and have some fun!
