  1. I'm glad I could help you love computers even for just one day...
  2. This may not help with an older file, but its worth a shot...I found it online so I haven't actually tried it: 1. Select Start | Control Panel. 2. In Windows XP, open "Add or Remove Programs." In Windows Vista, open "Programs and Features". 3. Select the entry for Microsoft Office, whichever edition it is. 4. In Windows XP, select the"Change" button.. In Windows Vista, select "Change" at the top of the window above the program listings. 5. For both Office 2003 and Office 2007 select "Add or Remove Features." 6. For Windows 2003 check "Choose advanced customization of options," then "Next." 7. In both Office 2003 and Office 2007 expand the entry for "Office Shared Features" by selecting the "+" next to it. 8. Change the setting for "Converters and Filters" to " Run All from My Computer." 9. For Windows XP, select "Update." For Windows Vista, select "Continue." 10. When the update has completed, close the control panel windows. Now, you can open a WordPerfect document in Word. 1. Open Word. 2. Select File | Open. 3. Change the "Document Type" to "All Files." 4. Browse for the Wordperfect document. 5. Select it and then select "Open."
  3. As always Basher, your help is valuable and appreciated!
  4. I was pretty happy to get any ticket at all, but it looks like the Darien lawns are the place to be!
  5. Just got word...two tickets to Darien on the lawn. Man that was a long wait...worth it in the end though!
  6. No email for me yet either...I've been in that same credit card holding pattern since yesterday...
  7. Well I wasn't really expecting to be as excited about the return of Phish as I am, but all of this footage from Hampton and the free MP3's really did the trick! I did indeed put a request in for Darien... no word yet though!
  8. Pretty much my take on it as well...was mildly entertained for a couple of hours. This made me laugh out loud though: Man on phone: D'you want to leave a message? Jarrod: Tell him that justice is waiting for him. Man on phone: OK Justin. Thank you. Bye bye. [hangs up] Jarrod: No, justice. JUSTICE
  9. Times are approximate (but should be pretty close..others can verify!) Everest - 6:55 - 7:30 Wilco - 7:45 - 8:35 Neil 9:15 - 11:25 (might have started a little later) We arrived shortly after 6 and got in around 6:30. There was a huge line up in front of us so I was surprised when we managed to stroll in and set ourselves up front row (admittedly FAR on the left) Everest was pretty good. Sound was a little muddy from where we were. Definitely worth checking out though. Wilco were really great as usual...sound cleaned right up, and it was LOUD from the front. Jeff was pretty chatty (I remember something about vomit, plus he almost called us by the wrong city name...) pretty much same setlist as the other shows (maybe exactly...don't have a comparison in front of me, and I can't remember the order now anyway). Neil was fantastic. Still really knows how to put on a rock show. The interaction on stage was great...everyone having a great time... Totally worth getting there early to get up front though. Great show/experience over all. I'm curious to hear from people with seats what they thought though... From what I noticed most of the people in the stands sat down for 90% of the show...
  10. Wow what a great resource...one of my favorite photographers, Margaret Bourke White has a huge collection on there. It looks like you can purchase the photos as well...
  11. They were filming on my parents street last week... downtown near Cork and Yorkshire. Paid my parents $50.00 to set up a light in their driveway. They were using some of the neighbours houses as well for interiors and stuff...
  12. Yeah RFD effect...no more free...but the $38 deal ($50.00 with shipping) is pretty damn good too! I couldn't find my prescription, I'll have to call my optometrist tomorrow and hopefully there will be some styles I like left. I have a really thick prescription so I want a pair of big plastic frames (that way I don't have to pay for thinning)! Thanks for posting this deal Basher!
  13. Couldn't have said it better...I saw that tour at Copps Coliseum...I remember the girls loving him and screaming every time his leather pants slipped down (seriously). That being said I am going to see him tomorrow night in Kitchener because my wifes boss bought us tickets. On the plus side Sloan is opening so that should be ok...although I haven't listened to them in about 5 years...
  14. My parents saw it and loved it. Mind you they saw it in New York with David Hyde Peirce in the lead roll...They were by no means huge fans of Python or anything...although they have seen and enjoyed most of the movies.
  15. In our old house (new sub-division - no trees or buildings) we had great reception. It went out once during a snowstorm, but it was easily accessible so we brushed off the snow and we were fine. When we moved downtown to a neighbourhood with lots of giant trees (like 30-40 ft plus) we have had issues...it was installed in the fall and it was fine...until it snowed and then we couldn't clean it because it was mounted so high to try to clear the trees. The summer has been pretty good, but like others, bad weather seems to affect it way more now. I am actually considering the switch to Rogers, but I am holding out until I finish school and can afford a new tv and hd programing! I believe rogers gives you an hd pvr for 2 years if you trade in your satellite or something like that. Is Rogers really that bad?
  16. So, I am hoping someone on here will be able to help me out...due to the questionable health of a friend (and the person I was planning on seeing this show with) I decided not to purchase tickets when they went on sale...my friend went to see his oncologist today and got a clean (for the most part) bill of health, so now I am desperately looking for two floor tickets for either night (or even one would be ok...), to celebrate the good news. Can anybody help me out?? Thanks, mike
  17. I think its 90.7 in the KW area...I think 94.1 in Toronto, If either of those don't work for you check out this page: CBC Frequency I've been loving it too...
  18. It was the second night...although if I remember correctly I got tickets (ahhh the days of line ups and wrist bands...)right before it sold out and then they announced a second show, but for the night before the first one (does that make any sense at all?) Anyway...yeah the Steel Wheels tour was pretty killer...I remember the opening pyro was amazing...and the crowd singing along to Ruby Tuesday was a lot of fun (especially back then when I didn't know a lot of their songs)
  19. The Who, June 1989 CNE Grandstand. This was a fantastic show for my first time...got to see the Stones that summer too (or was it the fall?) in the same venue... Overture, 1921, Amazing Journey, Sparks, The Acid Queen, Pinball Wizard, Do You Think It's Alright, Fiddle About, I'm Free, Tommy's Holiday Camp, We're Not Gonna Take It, I Won't Run Anymore, All Shall Be Well, A Friend Is A Friend, I Can't Explain, Substitute, I Can See For Miles, Trick Of The Light, Boris The Spider, Who Are You, Magic Bus, Baba O'Riley, My Generation, A Little Is Enough, 5.15, Love Reign O'er Me, Love Hurts, Save It For Later, Too Late The Hero, My Wife, Give Blood, Join Together, Behind Blue Eyes, Won't Get Fooled Again, You Better You Bet, Summertime Blues
  20. Pretty sure you can get glass bottles for your water cooler (not sure if they are 18 L though)...I'll have to do a little digging on this one myself. We actually need a refill so I'm going to ask at the health food store tomorrow...
  21. Terrible terrible news. Its been a rough time for the E Street family. I don't think it was even a year ago that long time friend and personal assistant to Bruce, Terry Magovern died... RIP
  22. So I tried for single game tickets today and no dice! Its great to see the support for the team but holy faak are tickets hard to come by. Maybe if they had lost to the Galaxy tickets would have been easier to come by Not likely though!
  23. Yeah no luck here either...so glad I took those lawns yesterday. I can't believe there was nothing left at 10:01. I also LOVE the fact that they have a link to Ticketsnow from the Ticketmaster page...they actually link to the scalpers now. [color:purple]On the plus side you can get section 200's from them in the $400-$500 dollar range per ticket.
  24. yeah just checked to be sure...its to bad though because I think they have a few days off after Toronto...
