  2. from what i read in high times is, sour diesel is a cross of mass. super skunk x the dawg. nyc diesel is a seed soma got from a bag of sour diesel and grew it out. he selected his fav. and called it nyc diesel. this is only what i read. but either way, im on the sour diesel express too!! choo choo. this thread makes me wanna wake and bake! later. ill be back in 5!

  3. ha ha ha. this is still going on, and people still cant except the fact, that its all about the money!!! sure they love to play music but wouldnt you do it for a living if you could make a million dollars a year! or more. and make a nest egg to pass on to your kids or some other family member. all bob is doing is covering the deads ass, so that what he and the rest of the band have made over the years stays put and doesnt end up in some lawyer or music producers pocket. there are still taper sections are there not? then start taping yourself. its about time people started to realize that this information highway is not as free as we all would like to think. so, in other words, get off yer ass, and start trading again. simple. look, if ya hate bob, ya hate bob! but dont take this out on bob just cause ya hate him. hes just protecting his nest egg.

  4. yes, we percieve it differently through our own eyes, and thats why we love(d) it soo much. but in the end, its still about the bucks! sorry folks. that is why we have to forget about that monetary fact and just enjoy what we have, and that is music! sweet, sweet, music!

  5. do you bobby bashers think jerry didnt make a penny off of his art, or ties, or .. etc...it is, was, and always will be about the $$. wake up people! those that think the whole deadhead experience was all peace and love!!! bwah. no it was all about cash. hasnt ayone grown to realize this obvious fact. you must also remember, if im correct, that gd productions is owned by more than just band members. it wouldnt surprise me if the board consists of 20 or more shareholders, ooops, theres that word. "shareholders" they, not bobby, decide the future of gd productions. bobby probably only owns a small percentage of gd procuctions. therefore he probably didnt even have a say in what went on. ps, even if it was about the cash, i still love the grateful dead!!!!!

  6. do you all forget that it was jerry who said, and i quote "nothing comes for free!" -stella blue. wake up people, its always been about the money, nothing has changed. and it never will!!!!

bob also said, the revenue was needed to continue to digitalize(or whatever) the music for possible releases. and like he also said, there are still audience recordings circulating around, that there are no problems with . so, big deal, you might actually have to look a little bit harder to find the show you want! remember when certain shows were "rare"? it was actually cool to trade and hunt down, or bargain for some cool or just amazingly sweet shows? or, you could hear a recording at a party ang know that you were the one who gave out 10 free copies to your friends and they gave 10 copies to there friends. etc...and not that every deadhead alive has the exact same shows. in other words, if you dont like it, dont buy it. simply find an audience recording from a friend.

This proves theories I'd rather not discuss like the timing of Phish's hiatus and the necessity for SCI to fill bigger rooms.

    *cough* Sellouts *cough*

sounds exactly like what phish did after jerry died. it seemed the next phish show i went to, had the exact same lights, as if they just bought them from GD productions! and all of the sudden its like they got more of a "dead" flow to the majority of their jams. its called "seeing the hole", as i like to call it in horse racing. the jockey just sits and drafts until he sees that split second window of opportunity, and then proceeds takes full advantage to take the spotlight. in this case the "spotlight" is millions of dollars a year in increased revenue. we, as music fans have an ideal place(musically) we want to be, and when that space becomes empty, someone will gladly step up and fill it. theres no problems from me about it, thats just the way it goes. i needed somewhere to go when the dead stopped touring. and hey i loved phish too, so.... i went to phish shows. etc. i go were the music is. i dont call that selling out. i call it filling the demand, with only minor comprimise. sorry for the babble, wake and bake!
