indeed. i'd stay in detroit too. call ahead to the renaissance centre... i used to get rooms there on the 70th floor for about $90 - which we'd split 4 ways. or, $40 for the holiday inn sounds even better. my 'favourite' detroit experience was going for all-night breakfast about 4am, to a restaurant with armed security. automatic weapons and bullet-proof vests!

I always thought people "walking and texting" were just configuring their forcefields. My "favourite" is seeing people using GPS navigation on the QEW, on their daily commute. Don't they remember yesterday?
