Yup, I do it in my basement as well with the yeast, malts, hops and boiling etc. The book I have is How To Home Brew, also really good. I have done that too sean at a place in toronto called ferementations but don't really consider that brewing yourself. It's amazing esau you can really make some amazing beers that are hard to find in Canada (ie. delicous craft beers).

Has anyone else ever brewed beer? I am bottling my second batch this weekend and making some more this sunday with a couple of friends. We are making an american style IPA on Sunday. Hope it goes well.

Love toronto! I bought the coffee passport in December and it was 20 bucks. You can use it at 20 independent coffee shops in the city. Been a great way to discover more hidden gems in this city.

had these the other night... and my one of my favorite beers ever.. Found some of this at an lcbo in Etobicoke. They are all out at my current lcbo but if you can find this Brooklyn beer buy it. Trust me, its the most delicious stout I have ever had.

Was in the fingerlakes region this weekend. But each time I have been going to the states I have been stopping at preimer gourmet and bringing a nice selection of beers home. So I got a little collection going on at home and once in awhile I'll crack one open to start the night. Thinking about have the dogfish 90 minute ipa tonight. I love good beer and love the selection in America. Started brewing my own beer a little while ago so I can make some good beer too. Have a pilsner fermenting at home right now that will be bottled in a few days.

Never been to the one in Ottawa but ideal is right in my neighborhood in toronto, kensington and is my go to coffee spot.

mmmmm....love the dead elephant! If you like stout's you must try the brooklyn chocolate stout. It's great!

That is just wrong. How would they even know if he came to a game? Would they tell every ticket taker what he looks like, lol. I guess the one difference is that he threw it while the play was still going on and not after a goal had been scored.

Oh yeah, Pick this up at your local LCBO if you can. It's the brooklyn stout and it is great. I am not usually a fan of stout's but this is really good and perfect for a snowy night.
