We were booked to open for them... showed up, and they decided to play first. Probably a good move on their part. I think they wanted to split after the show, and by playing first they didn't have our fans leave after our set. I don't think they liked us.
4 out of 8 of us stayed in Thunder Bay that summer, living on Algoma St, writing songs and drinking the remainder of Jer's student loan. This was an outdoor street festival we played on Red River Rd as a 4pc.

We're a 3 piece... drums, keys and guitar. Female vox. Loud. Would love to see some Ottawa friends out.
Went to see her and the Hip in Buffalo a few weeks ago... misjudged my companion's travelling time, border crossing and traffic... and wound up seeing literally the last 6 seconds of her show. Then the Hip set was insanely rained out. Lookin forward to my make up show.
I have the pleasure of playing with the Skydiggers this spring/summer as the band celebrates 25 years of music.
We're warming up tomorrow night with a last minute Dakota show. $10 at the door!
my band... little foot long foot has new music, so we're playing a show in toronto to celebrate. gavin maguire's band dearly beloved is on the bill too! as is The Goodluck Assembly and The Lad Classic.
Tonight at the Silver Dollar!
Seems like a good time to plug my Rolling Stones night every Wednesday at The Dakota in May. Three sets, $10, members of Flash Lightnin, the Beauties and myself.
Playing music is the perfect escape for tough times... that hour and a half on stage is not part of reality. It's probably the best thing his band could've done. This just tears me apart... so sad.
