i LOVE david sedaris!!! dress your family in corduroy & denimn was my first foray into the world of david sedaris, and is still my favourite. i'd even say i liked it way better than naked (and i liked naked too!). DEFINITELY recommended: me talk pretty one day is in the pile of books i got for christmas/boxing day shopping, and i can't wait to get to it.

thanks, that's wonderful!!! basher, it's cuba because from what i have gathered, cuba = dirt cheap, and that's reeeaalllly a main objective. also, this is gonna be a very last minute dealio, ideally book then leave a couple days after, leaving sometime in the next 2-4 weeks. i have done the domincan and totally enjoyed it, but i've heard wonderful things about cuba having nicer beaches. so i'd like to check those out too.

does anyone have any specific travel tips or info to share on cuba? all inclusive, safe, all you can eat & drink, resort variety travel. haha.

(sorry velvet!) i know, eh? i really wanted that mouthy little thing in the "sleepover dance" to get the boot. you NEVER insult the choreographer like that, NEVER. and sorry honey, but i wouldn't be all high & mighty like you killed what you were given, especially when you can't even point your feet! ugh! i find her very annoying and unlikable and i have no idea how she even made it to the top 20. her audition was mainly just swishing that busted up cheapass weave around! "dry!" i totally see what you mean about finding natalli hard to like. she just has such fire in her when she is dancing! cosmic c, i totally respect your vote only once idea and your choice was a good one. (again, so sorry velvet....back to politics... so, that stephen harper, toupée or no?)

mostly natalli. i love that fierce & feisty little demon! i don't think she's necessarily the "best" in the competition (i don't think she'll win it all), but you just can't tear your eyes off her! she did a good job last night. nico & arrassay freakin' blew me away last night. that was just incredible!!! i am getting goosebumps right now, just thinking about that number. i love them both. i also love allie to pieces. i vote mostly for natalli though, because she needs the votes. all the techincal people will be sending their votes to allie, and all the teeny boppers will be voting for hottie mohawk nico, so they're both safe. i also threw a few votes in for lisa & vincent, because she's older and they are quite good, and i even kicked a couple over for lara. i don't think she's the best by far, but she has nice lines and there's something about her i kind of like. especially in combination with her partner. and she's old too, so i have to give some support to my fellow senior citizens. hahaha. so yeah! there's my votes!

aw man, that's sad. i noticed they were playing a few months ago, but didn't end up making it to the show. geez. i like their version of brand new cadillac better than the clash's. i hate that fricken disease. from what i heard on the radio, he was only diagnosed a month ago.

ooh i've never seen that site before. i came across this one a couple of years ago: www.wraiths.ca it's pretty rad, it has big descriptions of each place and lots of creepy pictures. the mental institutions and some of the abandoned houses (and the weird things left behind in them) are particularly of interest.

i am very picky with the simplicity of my egg salad: - MUST be miracle whip, not mayo - eggs grated with a cheese grater - pepper - pinch of curry. my grandma gave me that tip, it really does make for some egg salad magic. - squishy cheap white bread is the preferable mode of delivery. the best is that wonder bread made specifically for sandwiches that is perfectly square. yum!

yes, and that was pulitzer material compared to this! *eta* they got away with it a bit more back then, too. because a) the cast was way better, it wouldn't have mattered what they were saying, that ensemble's collective "it" factor was miles above this new crop, and it was the early 90's. the hideous outfits and hairstyles alone took attention away from the storyline. haha. and it was just.... grittier than this somehow. the characters were less one dimensional than these folks. anyway. like i said, i'm still gonna watch. hahaha. i'm so mad kelly's babydaddy is dylan! i was hoping for steve! hahaha *2nd edit* also, to this new version's credit, the first episode(s) (premiere back-to-back ones) did show some promise. this week's, though? geez. oh and LOVE THE JACKIE TAYLOR BITS!! haha. they have to bring back david, too. maybe silver can run away from home and go stay with him and donna! (didn't those 2 get married in the original?)

okay, don't get me wrong, i love me some 90210, i've seen every episode of 2.0 so far, and i'm totally digging the kelly & brenda sightings, but GOOD LORD THE WRITING OF THIS SHOW IS ABYSMAL!!! the dialogue??? the sophomoric plot twists??? my god, i've seen more depth and less cheese in old saved by the bell and full house episodes. 2.0mom/aunt becky is a freakin' useless vapid character, brenda is way too nice, kelly is weak, and while i initially thought she was kind of cute and sweet, i'm torn between wanting to punch annie in the face or shove her face first down the line at an all you can buffet. geez. i will keep watching though. at least for now. YES!!! loved that!
