Slammin Jack last night

I had no idea what to expect last night, in fact someone commented "we don't hear much about Slammin Jack around this part of the country". Nobody says anything bad, nobody says anything good, problem is nobody says anything.

So I'll do my part. I was really impressed with the musicianship in this band. Guitarist was smoking, keys player had a good sounding distinctive voice, drums and percussion had a fantastic "duel" section in the 2nd set. I liked the songs better than the trance (but that's usually the case). The country-ish songs, in my opinion, were stronger than the psychedelic disco/funk - as the poster put it.

Keep up the good playing boys. And go check 'em out if you have a chance, I think they're in Guelph tonight. They deserve more than the 13 or so they played to last night.

Yeah, I heard the show was sweet, even though the usual Ottawa attendance blew (what gives with this town?), I only got back from Hockey at midnight so I couldn't make it out, but twas funny to see the guys crashed at my place this morning. Really nice dudes, and they are heading out to Guelph tonight for a show ,and then on and on..check the show listings and go see this guys, support the good live music for christ sakes!
