Freeker Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Half snapped ?!?!?!?! ...Well then you're halfway there, good luck on the rest of your journey.
bradm Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Half snapped? Back in grade school, I went off the spring board and landed wrong, with my left forearm ending up with a bend in it that shouldn't have been there. They took me to the nurse's office, phoned my Mom, who got a ride from a neighbour (who also happened to be an RN), and they came to the school and took me to the hospital. After an X-ray, the doctor said that the arm was only partially broken, and that, in order for it to set properly, it had to be broken all the way through. So that's what he did: he took my arm, one hand on either side of the break, and cracked it. Since I had been given a local anasthetic (an ugly-feeling needle in my armpit, but which rendered the entire arm completely unfeeling), I saw but didn't feel anything. Mom, on the other hand, was, well, somewhat distressed by the spectacle. So, Del, you may want/have to get to fully snapped, but the journey may not be as pleasant as it's made out to be... Aloha, BRAD (Broken Radii: Alerting Del)
Freeker Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Let this be a lesson to us all. Never smoke crack and jump on a spring board. Thank you Bradley for this public service annoucement.
bradm Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Crack didn't exist back then. Jimson weed, now, is a whole other story... Aloha, Brad
Esau Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Jimson weed, now, is a whole other story... Aloha, Brad Theres always a bunch of dumbass adults & school kids that end up in the mental hospital every year around here for eating that stuff, grows on the escarpment like crazy.
FairySari Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Oh dear... I kind of regret not being down there to see this drunken move happen. I should be downtown by 8ish, and i'll be super happy to see a finished move with nothing broken (people or furniture). Maybe I'll even join Alexis for that little jaunt to Hamilton... Oh and Del and Alexis, you guys feel free to chill out in my room, use the computer, and it would be super nice if somebody would eat those cold cuts (turkey perhaps? maybe its ham?) in the fridge. Woo! New roommate!
