DevO Posted August 6, 2004 Report Posted August 6, 2004 Especially exciting on this list is Brant Bjork and Calvin Johnson. I used to listen to that Dub Narcotic tune 'Shake A Puddin' way too much. Johnson used to collaborate with Beck a lot too I do believe.. I think its Beck and him on the whole One Foot In The Grave album.
Palms Posted August 6, 2004 Report Posted August 6, 2004 Frog Eyes is definitely not synth pop - their new record sounds llike Guided By Voices with a very peculiar sounding singer!
whiteymuseum Posted August 6, 2004 Author Report Posted August 6, 2004 THE SADIES are one of my favourite all-time live bands...and another show to be amazed by will be THE SUNSHINE FIX. Swirling psychedelic rock. The band sets up their own portable acid light show in the middle of the floor of the venue and project it all over the space. From Athens,GA. Part of an indie-psych collective called ELEPHANT 6. Well actually their original band OLIVIA TREMOR CONTROL was part of the E-6 but there have been plenty of wicked spin-off bands from the collective.
