Large Marge Posted August 9, 2004 Report Posted August 9, 2004 Ok, ok, so I'm a naive and gullible sucker... for some reason it's taken me 6 months to come to realize that my deadbeat roommate has no intention of paying me any rent. :: At this point, I'm pretty tapped; I have no choice but to move to a smaller place, or to hopefully find a couple of new roomies. It's such an awesome pad (3 bdrm + office)... top two floors of a house on St. Clair West (near George Brown)... hardwood floors, 2 balconies, backyard, parking, etc. I really don't want to have to give it up Let me know if you (or anyone) might be interested, or if you know of any 1 bedrooms (in T.O.) that I should check out. Cheers!
Thorgnor Posted August 9, 2004 Report Posted August 9, 2004 How heavy is your rent? I might need a place for September if it's not too expensive. I go to York U and I would need to find a job ASAP but... I pay my rent... Let me know.
Alexis Posted August 9, 2004 Report Posted August 9, 2004 hey hey marge, i know there are lots of places around me, spadina/bloor. more specifically i know there are places on madison between bloor and dupont, i walk by them all the time. and you'd have the added bonus of sharing a street with punanai house (no jokes, just government sanctioned and officially plaqued) and some frat houses.
MoMack Posted August 10, 2004 Report Posted August 10, 2004 I could be looking for a new place in Toronto.. I can't handle one of my roomies right now... The only catch is my rent is really cheap. What are we talking? And when? And how far to the Subway? Cheers
Guest Posted August 10, 2004 Report Posted August 10, 2004 Hey....I am currenlty looking for a place to live...asap....if you need help let me know.....I left a message in you personal mailbox that is attached to this thing...cheers...hope all else is well MIke
Large Marge Posted August 11, 2004 Author Report Posted August 11, 2004 Thanks for the responses kids! With 3 peeps, the rent comes in at around $500 each (after hydro). It's a five minute walk from St. Clair West station right near Dutch Dreams Ice Cream Parlour and Albert's Fine Jamaican Foods (debatably the best roti in town). It's a sweet pad, with the only downfall being a shortage of closet space (I tend to be a bit of a pack-rat). Apart from the bedrooms, it's fully furnished and I've got all the dishes and stuff... if it still sounds interesting, either post back or shoot me an email at margaret@ms.com Cheers! Alexis (hey Babe!) - I'm also going to check out your suggestions; thanks! Mike - check yer email(and welcome back)!
