dave-O
I'm just listening to the new Bill Frisell release - "The Intercontinentals" for the first time. Is it possible to mix world beat percussion with bluegrass strings? The answer is a resounding "yes". Personnel: Bill Frisell (acoustic & electric guitars, bass, loops) Vinicius Cantuaria (vocals, acoustic & electric guitars, drums, percussion) Christos Govetas (vocals, bouzouki, oud) Sidiki Camara (vocals, congas, djembe, calabash, percussion) Greg Leisz (slide guitar, pedal steel guitar) Jenny Scheinman (violin)
MarcO
I just got this on Wednesday and it's another winner from Frisell. A beautiful piece of art. Highly recommended!

Groove Fetish
to top it off he is a really humble and nice fellow who just wants to play his music! I though he was cool even before i saw him play his music. He played at a church show with Kevin Briet at the 2002 Guelph Jazz Festival that was killer. Velvet drove back from Burning man that year for it! it was so special to see you here that weekend Velvet. and Bill Fissell is the shit.
