Patchoulia
I tried starting an online version of a book club in another forum and it didn't work. So, I figure locally is the best way to go..plus, in real life, when you get together to discuss the book, you can have snacks and drinks! The only caveat is that I'm the boss of the club and you must bow down before me and buy me gifts if you want to play. Just kidding! Anyhoooo...anyone interested? Jared
i'll join,, but only if we read books that are out on movie, or choose your own adventure

Basher
[color:"purple"] I was interested until I read that members must must bow down before you and buy you gifts - I'm not into that. Edited to make font purple

I *said* "just kidding"!! Gifts and bowing are only appropriate if you feel comfortable proferring them...which, clearly, you do not. bokonon
i know how to read, i just don't know how to drive! (standard that is) and plus, toronto's all far and stuff when you're super lazy. why not do an online one here. i like to read, i think there are many others on here that do to. we don't even have to make it all formal and stuff, we can just make posts about books and see if anyone responds, hey this gives me an idea..........(see forthcoming thread )

Patchoulia
As I mentioned, I *did* try to do an online version of a book club on another board..it was a dismal failure..despite lots of initial interest and several people who claimed to be reading the book.. bokonon
well, i guess reading is a bit of a solitary activity.and my book thread is a dismal failure. so far i have forty views (due to the intriguing subject line) and no posts! :: :: ::

Alexis
whatever, yet another one of your comments that is neither funny enough nor intelligent enough to really matter. go back to the uber gay daddy-do-my-ass-with-nothing-to-lube-me-but-my-fudge type stuff. at least that had potential. Lazlo
That kind of talk is reserved for my close friends(anyone who has seen me passout standing up). And for the record, nobody gives it like my oldman.
