hamilton
quote:Originally posted by c-towns: Can anyone recommend a cool joint to hang out at in London on a Thursday nightTry the Bacchus Lounge - usually a good time (or, at least it was when I lived there). Also, see what's going on at Call The Office - they usually have live bands of various genres. Brian.

DirtyD
A few years ago I would se shows at Call The Office, check thier web page for who's playing. They also used to have a Funk night as well as a retro night, but these were overly run by Westerner Frosh at all times it seemed. Baccus Lounge opened while I was there - cool place to hang out, not a great place for a show - the stage is in an ackward place. Whipit Lounge was good for small shows,as well as next door at the Embacy, but I never went there unless there was a show to see. A quaint little dirty drinkin hole is the NewBrunswick Hotel. Friends who still live there go to the Last Drop it seems, although I cannot give it my personal stamp of approval since I have never been.
