Del Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 w/ Jurassic 5 and G. Love... Meh... I'll probably go just for Trey, but we got the short end of that stick... Hopefully Trey headlines...
Dr_Evil_Mouse Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 So how do I get my alarm clock to go off on Friday the 13th? Seems ill-fated somehow.
headygouda Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 Nice. So I guess the one toronto stop makes the announcement true:it is a 'north american' tour ;o)I think ben could draw more as a headliner, but who knows.
Del Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 Ben would definitely draw more, I was speaking personally...
AD Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 Ben would definitely draw more, I was speaking personally...Ben's playing the show, so what's the point again?AD
Del Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 The point is, since Trey and Ben will be alternating who closes the show, I personally would prefer to see Trey headline, while I believe that Ben would draw more as the headliner.
AD Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 Ah yes, gotcha. Will the non-headliner be playing a shorter set? I guess no-one knows this yet.Personally, I'd rather see Trey headline. I find that Harper's shows tend to fizzle out rather than end with a bang, while the few times I've seen Trey it was high-energy throughout.Plus I don't think Ben Harper is qualified to tie Trey's shoes, but that's another kettle of fish.AD
Freak By Night Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 Man! Why do the two major jamband events at the Ampitheatre this summer have to occur on Tuesdays? It's difficult of a newly employed person in Ottawa to book time off!

Basher Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 There's a SPAC show on a Sunday that might better fit the O-town crew's schedule.
MarcO Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 Cool! I love G Love and haven't seen him for a while.I don't care who headlines. Doesn't matter.

Plus Mofro, Fourtet and Do Make Say Think are playing Bluesfest on the 10th...
Jaimoe Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 I hope The Black Keys play the Toronto show. I love that band.I'll have to go to this one regardless of who headlines, although I wish it were Trey. Harper is a huge draw in Toronto however.
CyberHippie Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 Jebus!! What's next?!Who needs Bonnaroo this year, it's all coming to Toronto. The only thing we'll be missing is shakedown, but I'm sure that can be sorted out!
fluffhead77 Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 holy craaaaaaap...I"m sooo pumped...best summer for music in toronto EVAH!
CyberHippie Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 I bet the summer festival express rolled though town, was a pretty good summer. Besides the rioting of course... But free dead show in Coronation park? That's a nice bonus.
