M
Went & saw The English Beat last night @ Horeshoe... fun times!!! Dave Wakeling was in top form, cheery (sometimes cheesy)... belting out the tunes. The crowd was diverse - a complete cross section of all those 80s influenced. There were those there to wax nostalgic for SURE. All the ladies in the front were mooning for their former heart-throb. Highlights were Rough Rider, Twist & Crawl and of course Mirror in the Bathroom. Added benefit would have been a full horn section, but it wasn't to be. I'm pretty sure it was their only Canadian date, and the tics were quite pricy, but it was just one of those things that needed to be done.
TomFoolery
Wicked band in their day. What was the arrangement?
M
It was pretty light - - bass, guitar, keys, drums (w/ vocals from all but bassist). High energy output though.

I saw the 'get bands back together show' put them back together last season - i actually dont think they all went for it then - i think its wicked that they have gone with it now.
