Jay Funk Dawg Posted August 25, 2005 Report Posted August 25, 2005 Check out the interview that Sean Taylor did with Brad Barr this week. EVOLVE FESTIVAL INTERVIEW WITH BRAD BARR I'm here at Evolve HQ and we're feelin' the vibe this thursday afternoon. Weather looks like it's going to be nice, the line up is solid... See you there! The Slip perform on Saturday Night.
Del Posted August 25, 2005 Report Posted August 25, 2005 Good interview for sure... I'm more than a little disappointed to hear that they're doing another SMMD album... I wish they'd just focus on releasing and touring the new Slip album soon!
guigsy Posted August 25, 2005 Report Posted August 25, 2005 i wouldnt worry, del... i think they'll give the new slip disc the attention it deserves... personally, im really excited for another surprise me record... something more polished with some of the tunes they've been playing that arent on the first record... a lot of those songs have shitloads of potential, and i'd love to hear 'em on a proper studio release. you know, stuff like red sky, rubber ball, i hate love (although, i have a gut feeling we'll see this on the new slip record), summer of my fall, tin can coffee cup, etc etc... i think they could make a serious record with nathan's tunes leading the charge and the boys pullin some tricks outta their sleaves.
Del Posted August 25, 2005 Report Posted August 25, 2005 I think another SMMD would be sweet as well, but it's been too long of a wait for the new Slip album... On a similiar note, where's that 2004-12-31 recording?
guigsy Posted August 25, 2005 Report Posted August 25, 2005 its a myth. never happened. just like 5.8.77.

I also think that that group will be able to use that music as a bridge to get more people into them.

I was simply stating that I would rather they released the new Slip album that people have been waiting for almost a year now to hear before even thinking of recording another album with a different group... Frankly bouche I'm insulted that you would even imply that I don't like SMMD... Nathan Moore has the best band in the world backing him in SMMD... How could I not like them?
gentlemonkey Posted August 25, 2005 Report Posted August 25, 2005 That was a Taylor made interview! I cant believe I laughed at that. heehee. I initially read the subject and imagined how neat it would be if a festival could actually interview someone.. like everyone reading the questions really slowly together. sounds like a real bad trip.
Northern Wish Posted August 25, 2005 Report Posted August 25, 2005 its a myth. never happened. just like 5.8.77. It happened, and we will hear it. And it was oh so good........... Brad told me at Shoreline that they have lined up some sort of deal to distribute live stuff and that is first on the list. S ps. Thanks guys
