This morning on Good Morning America George W. Bush promised a rapid federal response to the disaster.

Okay, let's analyze that. THIS MORNING he promised a RAPID federal response. I think if the response was rapid he would be able to talk about it in the past tense.

This is so heartbreaking and frustrating.

What's worse in my mind is he/they/administration had cut the budget for the Army Corps of Engineers for New Orleans (who takes care of the levees) by 44% last year or $70 million.

But spending $186 million a day on the war was sure worth it.
