Donate to the Red Cross

Basher pointed out the Canadian Red Cross website for donations towards Hurricane Relief.

If anyone would like to do that just go to the Canadian Red Cross website and choose your method.

Haven't confirmed its through Red Cross though - anyone have any thoughts on this?

I would rather use a charity that was more in line with Rex - ie. every penny goes where needed - no administrators making big bucks etc.

I say donate to the humane society-there's lots of animals and left-behind pets that need helping out!

ggotta be careful with the humane society, a woman at work called them and they can't take the money for katrina here in ottawa, you have to call someone in louisiana directly i think... she got all this info from the humane society though, so you should be able to as well.

If you want to give the animals a hand, try the WSPA. They have a Katrina fund set up.

Also, for anyone donating to the Red Cross, it can take up to a week for your tax receipt to be emailed to you.
