The Chameleon
It's with BOOTSY, so wow is all i gotta say to the funkiest man evaIs that for real? Are you sure it's with Bootsy? He rarely ever plays with them anymore. Usually it's Billy "Bass" Nelson. Been that way for years.Altough I hope you're right.
SmoothedShredder
It says in the sun article I ripped out of the paper last week that it is...Bernie Worell and the Children of Production which features Raphael Saadiq, Amp Fiddler, Stephen Perkins, Dave Watson, Daryll Dixon, Rob Bacon and Joi will also be there. balogna pogna
Wow....something like this doesn't happen every day...I'm gonna have to get a paper route to pay for it but I can't see myself missing this one.
skelter
I'm pretty confident Bernie Worrell isn't going to show up. I was trying to get him to Kingston for a show, but he was gonna have a whole lotta border problems. I just asked his agent about this and he insists Bernie won't be there. Still ... Bootsy. Mug Push!
thatpatguy
well personally given the choice between Bernie and Bootsy I'd take Bootsy no contest.. but the three of them would be a funk force the likes of which hasn't been seen in ages
StoneMtn
George Clinton at the Commodore in Vancouver was one of the biggest fiascos I've ever attended. It is hard to go into all the details, but I would never see him again. In a nutshell, though: 1.his roadies opened the show with rap; 2. Clinton didn't hit the stage himself until after 2 am, and I happen to know it was his own choice to do that (for disgusting reasons) in spite of everyone trying to drag him out on stage; and 3. when he did come out he did nothing other than walk around the stage in a daze until he walked off shortly thereafter. He was pushed back onto the stage after 3 am for a couple more minutes. (I can't go into all the details I am aware of, as I know some things from behind the scenes that were told to me in confidence, and I am not at liberty to share.)I love P-Funk, but I have to cut my losses sometimes. The guy is too conceited and has too many issues going on.
