AdamH
What alot of garbage on jambands recently.Anyway I'm hoping someone could recommend a good book on Canadian History. I've got some sort of need to re-learn the history of our country but I'd like a recommendation on something that's not too dry but still thorough and informative. Esau
I haven't read them myself, but my neighbour has "The Canadians: Biographies of a Nation" collection and says they are great.
bradm
How about some of Pierre Berton's stuff? "The National Dream" and "The Last Spike", both dealing with the construction of the railway, in turn, deal with the founding of Canada.Canadian History for Dummies by Will Ferguson would also be good, I think. (I haven't read that one, but have read some of his others, like I Was A Teenage Katima-Victim, and the guy can write.)Aloha,Brad
