Guest Low Roller Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 "The transfer deal is worth $55.6 million Cdn and is expected to be completed in July. The team also said Beckham has agreed to contract terms with Real Madrid." Beckham shafts FC Barcelona
Davey Boy 2.0 Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 Yeah well there goes Real's chances of doing anything worthwhile next year. Hopefully, though, Ronaldhino will go to Real as well just to screw Fergie over.
Guest Low Roller Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 I don't know. Real has a real strong attack already: Ronaldo, Tote, Zidane, Figo, Makelele. With the addition of Beckham, I think Real Madrid has a strong chance of being one of the best teams next year.
Booche Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 You're right LR Davey-Boy is a putz.............. Ronaldhino best be coming to ManU, if not, they got enough cash to formulate a stroooong team. The LiverPutze's dont stand a chance. And where's my Mama Mia, Barrett?
Davey Boy 2.0 Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 All I gotta say is that Real better be signing a strong centre back, cause all they are now is offense- we all know that Bex can't tackle and Hierro was the reason they got knocked out of the CL, and very likely won't win the Spanish Liga
the Uni-Bonger Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 Eh, he won't be missed. There's the media circus surrounding his personal life, the fact the team has faired well without him in the line-up for considerable stretches, and the fact Veron is no slouch. Push Scholes and Keane outside, Veron up the middle...or Veron ahead of Keane with Scholes and Neville (if he's healthy), or Nicky Butt on the outsides. Other than sentimental reasons, he won't be missed. Oh, and Real can lick it.
Guest Low Roller Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 Manchester U won't suffer too much without Beckham. They got enough cold hard cash to buy pretty much anybody to replace him. The only thing they lost was the media frenzy that follows Beckham around. I think this is a good move for everybody involved. And, yes, Real can lick it... Lick it straight to the bank!
