DevO
I am looking to buy a cheap used acoustic guitar here in Seoul.. I found a Crafter MD-05 for the equivalent of $75 US. Is this an ok deal for this guitar? Any info, much appreciated! kevO
Velvet
Some of my students have Crafters and they would be worth $75, for sure. I don't know specifically about that model.
bradm
I couldn't find the MD-05, but there are some reviews of Crafter guitars on the Harmony-Central Guitar page. If you can find a similar model to the MD-05, and check the reviews for it, you might get an idea of the MD-05.Aloha,Brad
Giggles
Buy it! Crafter is the most distinguished(?) guitar manufacturer in Korea and they make a fine instrument...I am quite familiar with their line, but not of the model you mentioned...I would however guess that it would be of a mahogany (M) back & sides, dreadnaught (D) body style and for $75 I would maybe say a solid top, likely the engleman spruce they are accustomed to using. It may not be a solid top, but still easily worth the $75 US. Kim Breedlove of Breedlove guitars (and other well respected, boutique U.S guitar companies) has chosen Crafter as the company to produce their Atlas series...I know this because I am a Breedlove dealer. Happy pickin' Gawpo Giggles
DevO
Thanks for the help guys, I did indeed buy this axe! So far, its sounding fine and dandy. The guy who I bought it off of was trying to upsell me on all sorts of ridiculously awesome guitars, but I went for el cheapo.
