Booche Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 "It kind of went back into China first" I hear Jimmy Herring riff on that riff alot, actually. It seemed weird, none the less. It was as if no one wanted to take charge, but, like we've been saying, those tapes will tell the story. I experienced a bit of muddy sound that night, and I think the 'muddiness' was going on during that transition. New Potatoe Caboose was wicked though!

I experienced some muddiness too, during the intro to 'Eyes'. Until now, I chalked it up to aural hallucination. I'm now re-evaluating. The tapes will help The set lists so far are crazy I wanna go on tour!
Booche Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 I was unbelieveably sober.............................. Here Comes Sunshine had TERRIBLE sound (based on that show) So muddy, I almost sank. Obviously, the first song will be the worst, but Phil was WAY off that first set, and wasnt that consistent (sound-wise) that 2nd set. Thankfully, the Bass Duet was killer!
ollie Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 Interesting that, during his donor rap, Phil remarked that he hadn't heard the venue sounding better. Sounded good to me. Anyone got a tape?
Booche Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 "whole second set just about snaking together" Just about every show has been like that, but as DogAtTheStation said, they should actually stop some of those segues. They can meander to no where, with no real direction. Maybe it is growing pains trying to learn that stuff, but a few times at SPAC, those jams were doing nothing. Hey, if that is the only complaint though, not bad! The jam from New Potatoe Caboose to Rider was a tad disjointed it seemed, but the tapes will tell the truer story.

Are any audience tapes in circulation yet? I was able to find stuff from last fall tour fairly quickly but the only show on Furthur is 6/15. I've been really enjoying listening to the shows the day after, streaming from here: http://www.live365.com/stations/2012_live
