AdamH
Hi folks, In keeping with the theft theme of late, I have some advice for you. If you're in the market for a cheapo used bike please boycott the shop at Bronson/Somerset. The name escapes me, but the guy is downright shady and some of the bikes he's selling have the serial #'s scratched off of them. On top of which he inflates his prices immensely and will not bargain. A much better option is Bike Dump, located on Catherine between about Percy and Lyon I think. They even have a website: www.bikedump.com. Some of the staff are couriers during the day and they gavemy friend Jon some good advice on a bike that was only 70 bucks! They build their reputation on word of mouth and not selling stolen bikes - kind of a good thing don't ya think? Just putting it out there for those in need of wheels. Ms.Huxtable
I agreed wholeheartedly. Bike Dump is definitly the way to go for used bikes in Ottawa. Not only are they pretty cheap, but the staff is incredible and they even threw in a bunch of freebies and a lot of good advice to boot.
Phunky Cauldron
this is a great idea. Does anybody in toronto know of similar great stores in the area? Doesn't even have to be bike stores, I just like to be conscious of honest businesses and stores to avoid like the plague. Hey Bouche...start a blacklist/whitelist (what's all this colour talk ?) what with all your free time.
