77 MILLION PAINTINGS

As part of LOLA: London Ontario Live Arts festival 2007 The London Public Library in association with Museum London is please to present the Canadian premiere of 77 Million Paintings at the Wolf Performance Theatre. For this event, Brian Eno will create a unique installation of his work that uses customized software to create literally millions of visual combinations of "visual music". The paintings are generated from handmade slides that are randomly combined by the computer. The software also processes music that accompanies the paintings, in a similar way to the selection of elements and their duration in the piece, are arbitrarily chosen, forming a virtually infinite number of variations.
