OTTAWA - Though it won't be Triple-A, professional baseball will be present in the nation's capital in May thanks to a two-out, bottom-of- the-ninth decision by Ottawa City Council.

The Can-Am League - the Canadian-American Association of Professional Baseball - is set to begin business in Ottawa next week. The announcement comes after council passed a motion Wednesday endorsing a plan that will allow the former Ottawa Lynx lease on Lynx Stadium to be assumed by the Can-Am League.
