Northern Pikes

I caught 4 of these suckers last night here in Nipigon all over 20 inches. These were the first fish I've caught that weren't rock bass.

Work sucks.

I saw a Northern Pikes T-Shirt (autographed by the whole band) for sale at Value Village a few years ago. It was in the $2.00 section and I felt really bad for them for a minute.

Nice job, the pikes can be fun. What did you use to catch em with?

I've been using a 10' graphite pole with an ultra-light reel, 6lb test. Salmon are just starting to run in the rivers around here now. I was out floating a couple of flies in the Saugeen River tonight. Elbow to elbow though, being the weekend and all when all the city folk come up. A guy caught a 22lb. Salmon the other day right of the pier in Kincardine. I was happy for him albiet extremely jealous.

Caught 4 more last night, one on the first cast, watch out Bob Izumi.

I was using a pole with line and flashy spoons.
