ollie Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 I keep seeing ads for this but can't find it on my "dial". What's the story? Don't they already have enough filler on regular TSN?
Booche Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 It's my natural business savvy. Not only are you naive but you obviously have none of the above.
AD Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 on their website it tells you where you can find it on the "dial." if you use rogers, it's not on the "dial," yet.
ollie Posted September 29, 2008 Author Report Posted September 29, 2008 Any of you knobs seen it yet?
Booche Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 I find your boyish charms rather fetching.
Booche Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 But to answer your question, no. I had thought about switching to Bell, simply for RDS-HD, but I followed that thread you started in the Cavern and thank you greatly for it. So for that, I offer you this. Start watching Mad Men there Ollie. I really think you will find it entertaining. It's geerrreeeeeeeeeat!
Freak By Night Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 I watched TSN 2 on Saturday night for a while. Roger's ain't carrying it until Bell ponies up some more $$$$ - they don't want the competition against their Sportsnet channels without compensation.
ollie Posted September 30, 2008 Author Report Posted September 30, 2008 Back to my original question... do we really need TSN2 when TSN1 is/was already riddled with bowling, darts, strongman competitions, dog shows and, worst of all, poker? Is TSN2 a premium channel? i.e. Will it cost more?
dave-O Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 I watched a couple NHL pre-season games last week while in Kingston (Cogeco cable) on TSN2 while TSN was showing CFL. The main point of the channel is a permanent home for dual live events, like their old alternate feed for playoffs.
Jaimoe Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 Back to my original question... do we really need TSN2 when TSN1 is/was already riddled with bowling, darts, strongman competitions, dog shows and, worst of all, poker? Is TSN2 a premium channel? i.e. Will it cost more?Good questions there Dylan. I believe it will be included in the cable package when or if Rogers picks it up a la HBO Canada, and I think they'll cave when the hockey season starts to roll. And I bet there's already a Sportsnet2 in the works. Can you imagine how bad the hosts and writing will be on that channel? The TSN2 ads have been promoting live NHL games, soccer etc... so I'll hold them to that. I hope they'll carry some NCAA basketball. I like that TSN2 is in HD, or so I've been told it is.
