dancingbear Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 seem lateley spacing on a few meetings etc. I figure I need a really good electronic calendar that beeps like an hour before something important. i really could not care less about emails etc..ie. 'getting them pushed instantaneosly'. i also need a new cell phone, as the only way to charge mine currently is in the car with the plug-in wedged delicately ever so exact, so that any bump and it stops charging.suggestions? thoughts?
Basher Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 I just got a Blackberry from work, and I love it. I get the meeting reminders from my Outlook calendar, my GMail and work email, and of course, it is a phone.Plus.... Brickbreaker!!
AD Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 i use google calendar. you can set reminders to email you and / or send text message to your phone at whatever interval you want.
Booche Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 I deal with Blackberrys all the time and I highly recommend them to my clients.
bouche Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 iphone has calendars and productivity tools too.
skelter Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 Real hippies don't use Blackberry! That said, mine is in constant use and I rarely have any issues.
dancingbear Posted October 17, 2008 Author Report Posted October 17, 2008 thanks for the info. which blackberry do you guys use? does it make a big difference which one?
Birdy Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 Brickbreaker!!I don't think i'm ever going to make it past level 13. Ever.
skelter Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 Brickbreaker gets me through a lot of dead open houses ... if I don't turn on the TV.I have the Pearl, which is the smallest and one of the cheapest ... I might upgrade at some point but I really like the size of it.
Booche Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 The Telus 8830 is the popular choice in PWGSC right now based on the number of installations I come across.
Patchoulia Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 The only issue with the Pearl (i.e. the reason a lot of folks don't like it) is because it doesn't have the QWERTY keyboard (which is why it's so much smaller than any other model). It's like texting on a cell, which I find annoying.
