CatPhish
I'm sure I can look them up anywhere, I was just wondering if anyone has any classic handed-down kind of recipes to share.I'm leaning towards oatmeal choc.chip.
Ms.Huxtable
I have an old Cooking the Watkins Way cookbook. It's beat up, browned pages and used almost exclusively for the dessert recipes. Here's a great recipe they call "Grandmas Cookies"1 cup sugar1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed1 cup butter or margerine (blasphemy) 1 cup vegetable oil1 egg1 tablespoon milk3 1/2 cup sifted flour1 tsp Cream of Tartar1 tspn baking soda1 tspn salt1 tspn vanilla extract1 cup rolled oats1 cup coconut1/4 cup chopped nuts1/4 cup raisinsAdd sugars to butter and cream until fluffy. Add oil and beat. Add egg and milk and continue to beat until combined.Sift flour, baking soda, cream or tartar and salt together. Add it to the wet ingredients a bit at a time. Add rolled oats and mix. Add coconut, nuts and raisins and mix.Drop by teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet and lightly flatten with your fingers. The dough will be soft.Bake at 350 for 8-9 minutes. Yields 10 dozen. (9 for Davey Boy, 1 for you and 1 for your beautiful gal).

Add to your cookie recipe in place of butter, margerine or oil.dont forget to use unsalted butter, and once its melted, scoop the foam off the top, or clarify the butter before you add the nugs. ive also heard the longer you let the pot+butter simmer, the stronger the butter will be in the end.then, just grind up some mushrooms to a powder, mix in with your favourite frosting, and voila! you have the trippyest cookies/cupcakes on the lot!
