TheAlphaNerd Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 So I just got offered the job of a lifetime. I'll be filming a documentary about route 66. Driving the whole thing over 2 weeks and stopping off at crazy destinations along the way.To those who don't know of the famous road, it runs from chicago to california... or in head lingoIllinois>Missouri>Kansas>Oklahoma>Texas>New Mexico>Arizona>CaliforniaSo... I was curious if anyone has done the drive before, and if they had any places they could suggest along the way.As well the dates are from the June 28th - July 12th... curious if there are any good shows happening along the way,
YearsAlongTheSea Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 I have no useful information of than the news of my jealousy...
Birdy Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 So jealous of you! All i have for you is Bottletree Ranch - it's just outside of Helendale, CA, which is about an hour and a half outside of LA. It's the work of Elmer Long who constructed a whole forest out of old, used bottles he inherited. He dedicated the work to everyone who has lived and died on Interstate 66. Have fun!
TheAlphaNerd Posted June 14, 2009 Author Report Posted June 14, 2009 Thanks birdy... sounds like an amazing stop!
