Guest Low Roller
Feel like slapping on the headphones and letting the day drift away? I found a real good dubstep mix to fulfill exactly that. zero
I like Burial quite a bit, and James Blake (who sort of brushes against dubstep at points) but as far as artists it's a bit of a bleek landscape (no pun intended). Any other artist recommendations?

Pablo Sanchez
thanks. made it about half way through. I recently got burial's last album and I don't get it. wanted to like it, but found it pretty cheesy. my overall feelings on dubstep are that I love certain elements but not enough to continue listening to any of it. maybe I have yet to find the gold. Guest Low Roller
There is this awesome Four Tet Burial collaboration called 'Moth' that is just phenomenal shit. And this guy who calls himself Desolate, might just be the guy who has come closest to the Burial sound. Perhaps more ambient than house, but still fringes on dubstep: And of course you know of Flying Lotus?

thatpatguy
there are some great tracks in here.. but I'm curious as to where the dubstep label came from. None of this stuff sounds like what I understand dubstep sounds like.from what I've been lead to believe dubstep sounds like this**edit: for some reason I can't get the player to show.. so here are the links**Figure - Super Mega Death Ray (Drumstep Mix) FREE DOWNLOADorDirty azz, dubplate special ((next 100 dl's)) 320this is a great dubstep remix of the Dead Prez classic Hip HopWTF!? & Dead Prez - It's Bigger Than Hip Hop UKand lastly... here is a great dubstep mix I enjoyed last weekDJ Schmolli - Bass Down Low Edited March 30, 2011 by Guest
