Rob Not Bob
Just checked my tracking number, it just finished clearing customs, they sat on it for a week, hopefully it will be here in the next couple days.
hamilton
Safe arrival of my numbered trunk in Hamilton today! Woo-hoo!Awesome! Hopefully mine will not be much longer. How much did you get clipped by customs?$57.42 in HST, and then an $8.50 handling fee.
hamilton
Assuming I like the Dead, but not enough that I want to download all of these shows. What are considered the better shows of this run?Edit: My preference is less country twang and more jammy jam.None of the shows are weak, but I would have to say that Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Rotterdam have always been my favourites. You also can't go wrong with the Strand Lyceum shows, especially the one on the 26th. And for some reason, I have a soft spot for the comparatively-short Luxembourg show. Marcust99
I got my box. Got socked $30.90 from Customs. Seems everyone is getting charged a different amount which is effed up!
hamilton
^^^ that is ***waaaay*** effed up! If they are charging tax based on the value of the product, I fail to see why there should be any difference at all. Thanks, random Customs & Revenue worker! Rob Not Bob
Yeah, I just got word from Fiona that it came in and the customs was only $30. Too bizarre .
Marcust99
Finally got my box. 2 beefs:1. Unlike American orders which had free shipping, Canadians had to pay $85 for shipping. The "shipping and handling" declaration on the Customs form said $43. Why the soak job for ground USPS shipping?2. The disks are in there WAY too tight. So tight in fact I ripped the front cover of 4/26 and I was being careful. It's ridiculous how tight. And the paper on the digi packs seems too fragile. This was a pisser as it was the first one I tried removing. Email already sent to Rhino for a replacement.Aside from that it's pretty cool, despite it costing me $600. Rob Not Bob
Not much to add at this point except, God damn, my ears are burning. I was a bit worried getting this that there might be overload and i wouldn't be able to absorb it all, but a few shows in and my jaw is still firmly on the floor. Kanada Kev
E72 it's such good shit. I'll take any of those Dews, O1s, and Stars anyday. And the Hendrix is a perfect follow up (even though it's not the 'complete' shows like E72) because it has made me drool. Hendrix is a god. I had it back in the day on cassette, got the whim recently to order a second hand copy of it on CD and it came in around the same time as Europe 72. Sorry for the confusion.
