c-towns
Here is Eric Burton's band, I post this because Molitz is (pun intended) an animal on keys.Particle keyboardist Steve Molitz will join Rock & Roll Hall of Fame singer/songwriter Eric Burdon (The Animals, WAR), guitarist Eric McFadden (Stockholm Syndrome, P-Funk), percussionist Wally Ingram (Sheryl Crow, Jackson Browne), drummer Eric Bolivar (Anders Osborne, Pimps of Joytime), and bassist Ron Johnson (KDTU, Warren Haynes Band) on tour as Eric Burdon & The Animals. The group is touring in support of Burdon's new album, 'Til Your River Runs Dry, and fans can expect to hear a mix of new material, as well as the Animals and WAR classics that helped land Burdon on the Rolling Stone List of the Top 100 Singers. AD
The schedule leaves much to be desired. Oh well. Happens every year.
Rob Not Bob
Actually, I am pretty happy with the layout. A few things I was worried would be conflicts are on at different times. A couple of conflicts but not as many or as bad as in times past.
Velvet
Just saw the lineup grid for the first time. There's one less stage, non?No wonder there's less conflicts!

After checking Eric's website it looks like Ottawa is the only Canadian date, and the rest are festival or casino type gigs. Too bad, I was hoping for more Canadian dates, looks like an interesting band. Thanks for the info.
phorbesie
Did you opt for paper or plastic Ollie?i was just looking on the Bluesfest website and didn't see the option for paper tickets for a festival pass. Is that option available this year? (i understand that the wristbands are transferable though)i'm just curious. i am planning to get a 3-day pass, but wonder if there would be people selling off individual paper tickets this year, in which case i might be able to go that route. AD
For the full pass it was ~$50 extra for paper tickets
phorbesie
Got it, thanks. In that case, if anyone is looking to unload their tix for any of the following, I'm considering these dates... July 4, July 8, July 11, July 13 thanks!

ollie
So how is everyone enjoying Bluesfest so far? Highlight for me has been Belle and Sebastian.
Rob Not Bob
For all that I had to miss a few days (no full passes available at the door? an insult), I've been super happy with every show so far. I'm sure I will lose what few coolness pointes I might have, but Grand Funk was super fun.

ollie
The combined Killer Mike and El-P shows are my new highlight so far. Very loose and casual but damn it was fun.And I'll add Rush too. Loved the songs from the new album and the requisite classics. Subdivisions opener was amazing.
