Guest Low Roller
Disney is suing Deadmau5 for trademark infringement for his mouse ear logo. Deadmau5 already has a trademark in other parts of the world, but when he applied for trademark in the US, that's when Disney released the hounds. Disney claims that there is logo confusion, and that Deadmau5 will hurt the Disney brand in the long term if he is allowed to carry on with trademarking his logo. Deadmau5 has been using the logo now for 10 years apparently, which leads me to question what took Disney so long, and what the statute of limitations has to say about this. But I'm not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV, so I'll let the professionals take care of the details. Still, all the stories I hear of Deadmau5 being an epic douchebag (including trying to deal with him directly at one point in a previous job), lead me to not feel sorry for him in this situation.
