peacedude Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 Tickets went on sale today for "The Musical Box". They are doing two separate shows- Foxtrot and Selling England By the Pound. I highly recomend these guys. They are a Genesis cover band that covers Gabriel Era Genesis. Ticketmaster Musical Box Link I scored row A at around 3:00pm today.
dave-O Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 Go see this!!! I cannot stress this enough. If you have the chance to check these guys out, don't miss it. The Musical Box is much more than "tribute" or "cover band". Similar to DSO in that they re-create shows... but in full costume and using the actual slide show from the original Genesis tours.
peacedude Posted February 21, 2003 Author Report Posted February 21, 2003 I can't believe nobody is taking advantage of this.
Jaimoe Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 Enjoy the show for all that go. I've only heard great things about this band. Two friends of mine have tried to get me to go the last time they played Toronto. They even wanted to get me a ticket as a gift. The reason why I haven't gone is that, no matter what, I deeply dislike Genesis and Peter Gabriel's music. I respect Genesis's songs and instrumentation, but I've never been a fan. But, if anyone has even a mild interest in Gabriel-era Genesis and live music in general, this upcoming show is a must.
Guest Low Roller Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 Even if you don't enjoy the music, the stage show is pretty neat, with crazy costumes and weird 70's visuals. I would highly recommend it. Good times are ahead.
shainhouse Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 I'd go in a second but alas, I can't afford it.
