On tour with Burt Neilson Band is Canadian Indie Music Documentary "E4," a concert film about Nova Scotia's Evolve Muisc Awareness Festival. After celebrating their 7th Anniversary late last year, Burt Neilson band is back with a new studio album entitled "By the Door," recorded and produced by the band over the past 2 months. The first studio effort in 4 years, "By the Door" is a focused 7 song release, that reveals a songwriting maturity and strong roots music influence by the group who has played over 1000 shows across Canada and the US, sold over 10,000 CD independently and literally defined the grassroots rock/jamband scene in Canada. Canadian Indie Music Concert Film "e4" has been officially released and is on tour throughout Ontario and Quebec, with other Canadian and US dates to be announced shortly. Farmhouse Productions, the Halifax-based film production company and creators of the "Air Guitar in Oulu" documentary (shown on Bravo TV) produced a concert film entitled "e4" over the past 4 months in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Filmed at the 2003 Evolve Music and Awareness Festival, "e4", was culled from hours of footage and features performances by Chris Brown and Kate Fenner, Hot Toddy, Luther Wright & the Wrongs, The Jimmy Swift Band, Blue Quarter, Booty Juice Wassabi Collective, Andru Branch and Halfway Tree, Grand Theft Bus, High Plains Drifter, Universal Soul and an exclusive interview with Evolve Festival headliners Medeski Martin and Wood.
