shainhouse
Waterloo has a 'Humanities' theatre? Henry Rollins is great, but Bowie is the same night!

Im going home Donny
shit I wish he were coming to Ottawa. I used to have a tape of him talking about the L.A. riots. He was brilliant....all dark, twisted, brilliant and hillarious all in one. Rollins is for sure the man.
Del
Thinking seriously about hitting this... I had "Get In The Van", a double disc spoken word CD that Rollins put out. Talked about joining Black Flag, and the early days of touring with them. Absolutely brilliant. I think tickets are under $30, so this is somewhat affordable... The more I think about it, the more I believe i will go. It'll be Toronto if I do decide to go...
Super Freak
I LOVE Henry Rollins...At one time I wanted to marry him, but alas...It never did happen. I'll be at the show in London forsure!!!
ollie
I saw him in Ottawa last year. It was a really good show. Very funny. Almost like a stand-up act. He talked about road stories, going to see bands like the Clash while growing up, going to Ozzy's New Year's Even party, getting old, being an anti-social bastard, etc. Highly recommended. Jaimoe
Not many know this, but Henry was a big Grateful Dead fan growing up. He loved their musicianship and jams. If you have any of his latter Rollins Band albums, you certainly can hear a jam influence. Rollins is self-rightous and arrogant, but I still like him. It should be an interesting show. Large Marge
quote:Originally posted by shainhouse: Henry Rollins is great, but Bowie is the same night! No offence, but Bowie's live show is pretty lame... you might want to trade up, if you can.
