CatPhish Posted February 28, 2003 Report Posted February 28, 2003 The following is from one of my favorite Mr. Rogers books. I was going to make it a question of the day but instead I thought it would be better to encourage you all to send a "speedy delivery", in whatever way you choose, to the person or people in your life who fit the following discription: "Have you had people who have touched you — not moved you in order to manipulate you — but touched you inside-to-inside? Take a minute to think of at least one person who helped you to become who you are inside today. Someone who was interested in you for who you really are...someone you feel really accepted the essence of your being. Just one minute...one minute to think of those who have made a real difference in your life." Fred Rogers
reba Posted February 28, 2003 Report Posted February 28, 2003 thanks for that post catphish. there are so many people who i'm lucky to have had in my life. thanks for reminding us all......
CatPhish Posted February 28, 2003 Author Report Posted February 28, 2003 another great Mr.Rogers quote "Music has a chance to become our way if we're given an appreciation of it by music educators and caregivers who truly care about music and who truly care about us. As with most things, a love of music is more "caught" than "taught." If it means something special to the adult, the child will recognize that. It "goes without saying." Ok I promise that will be my last Mr. Rogers quote for awhile. I just think most of us here undersatnd what being "caught" in music is all about.
