M.G.C.
Hey now folks.. I got this email from Brother Tom(Lose Yer Shoes organiser) today.. If you were into the jamband scene in the late eighties you might remember COMA TOAST...This Saturday, friends of our friend, the late Darren Kerr, will be putting on a memorial concert in his honour. There will be tons of musicians who have played with Darren over the years, including members of Crawlspace, Yellow Butterfly, Two Stone Throw and Caution Jam.Darren was the founding bass player of the COMA TOAST, an eighties/nineties jam band that toured Canada and provided opportunities for many musicians to cut their teeth in the jam scene. His aggressive bass playing would bring jams to intense climaxes again and again throughout each performance and his solid, raspy vocals would carry the band and resonate through everyone's mind. He was a lot of fun to play with, asweet and kind guy and we of course miss him a lot! So come on down and celebrate Darren's life with us.The concert will be this Saturday, Feb. 24 at 9:30p.m. at the Black Swan Tavern, 154 Danforth Avenue,Toronto, ON M4K 1N1, (416) 469-0537.There is no cover for this event.Peace
