My flu bug kicked me harder this weekend than I thought. I wish I could've been out there taking it all in, but alas, I had to leave that up to all of you.
Thank you for supporting the shows and the bar. And Brian, another home run of a night.

In the after-math of the Marco Benevento show, (ps: Tooly that's unreal how you made those pedals for Marco, I'll make sure to look out for you at Garaj Mahal to pass along some complimentary drinks! Nothing says hospitality to an artist like giving the guy free gear!)
..anyway, in the after-math of an amazing Marco Benevento performance, I just want to say how fantastically vibed KidP shows are. Brian, thanks for bringing the action to my bar.
I've got a few of my bartenders planning the decorations for the Garaj Mahal show. Halloween, can't wait!

Another on-line option is to use your PayPal account, and visit http://www.casbahlounge.ca
Scroll to the bottom and click the 'ticket page'.
In this case, nothing is mailed to you. You simply print off the on-line transaction receipt. That's your tickets accompanied by your I.D.

A personal matter with one of the members in the band has resulted in Fat Cats having to postpone.
Just got word of this one hour ago. Something rather sudden that the band could not control.
They will be back for their annual St.Pattie's with The Fatties at Casbah on March 17th.
In their stead, TONIGHT:
STUMBLEWEED, featuring Gatch from The Fatties,
plus folks from Diesel Dog, Friends of Hefner and Huron/Lee Harvey Osmond.
Cover has been reduced from $10 to $5.
Johnny Kerr (FoH) will be opening.
S-Weed will do 2 sets, also. For $5!

The Heavy
Vocals: Swaby
Guitar: Dan "T" Taylor
Bass: Spencer "Big Daddy Spence" Page
Drums: Chris Ellul
Keyboards: Hannah Collins
A co-ed quintet from the outskirts of Bath, England, the Heavy draw influence from funk, soul, blaxploitation film soundtracks, and the gritty garage rock of the Sonics. Guitarist Dan Taylor and vocalist Kelvin Swaby became friends in the 1990s, bonding over a shared appreciation for vintage R&B and Jim Jarmusch films. Joined by bassist Spencer Page, drummer Chris Ellul, and keyboardist Hannah Collins, the two launched their own act -- the Heavy -- and began combining Taylor's distorted guitars with lo-fi samples, horns riffs, stomping percussion, and soulful Prince-styled vocals. The photogenic band made its studio debut in 2007, releasing several singles on the London-based Ninja Tunes label before issuing the full-length Great Vengeance and Furious Fire that fall. An American release followed in early 2008 on the newly minted +1 Records.
