hey,
having just stumbled upon this and read all of your interesting, wonderful, exciting, varied school/work experiences i just have to say that you have all done some great things. and what should you do? well, we are all confused. i'm 25, massive student loan, i've taken women's studies, nursing, outdoor rec and somehow managed to end up with a b.a and b.ed after it all. i teach and you know it isn't for everyone but like many have suggested there are tonnes fo alternative schools out there. (adult ed. is an option you may not have considered). ever considered doing an (environmental) masters program? i know that this may involve more debt, but you may
discover t.a/field work possibilities that pay you. i can put you in touch with a friend who is doing an environmental biology masters if you would like answers to questions...

as for the silverhearts...i have had the pleasure of watching them a few times in peterborough. i think they play every wed. night at this old bar, name to be determined. they are awesome, very unique. bluegrass/folk/rock/drunk. a fun evening.

teacher yes. graduate of fenelon falls secondary. i suppose you went to lc?
-
hey catphish
i actually live btw fenelon and lindsay so i dunno what side of the river you would consider that. coach and horse eh? the irish house is also a very good place to relax and interact with an interesting mix of lindsay people. although i've had my share of evenings at the york. now i only seem to end up at the grand after soccer games with the girls.

i second that emotion. radiohead is truly an amazing band. i remember sitting in my sister's res room in thunder bay and she played the whole bends for me. i love that album.

hi catphish, yup i'm a local. born and raised. after having left this area for greener pastures (toronto, jasper, toronto) i find myself back here trying to dig rural ontario life. i am neither the cause or effect of caution jam at the colleg, but i do enjoy it! so where did you stomp when you were in lindsay?
-
okay, okay, i'm going! thanks for your encouragement and info. i didn't know the line up (except for phil). i've heard good things about moe but haven't seen them yet! guess i'll have to pack up the car and head outta the country. see you all there, whistler friend in tow or not! peace

just discovered your site and am poking around. although i live way out in the sticks i do catch caution jam at the college and we always travel to shows. my friend is leaving for whistler next week and we are having a disagreement- is it worth the extra week or two in ontario to catch lesh and friends in toronto? any opinions?
