There was reason - the pot. They were hoping for an even bigger score I imagine. You guys were not stupid. Manipulated yes, but not stupid.

  3. I happen to know a cop and this turns out to be a common technique. Pull over someone that you suspect to posses something illegal, and get them to do something that allows for the car to be searched... Because you showed him your pot he now has access to search your car. I believe that if you didn't he would not have legally been allowed to search.

Pretty shady and crappy practise if you ask me. a$$hole.

I am sorry that this happened

  4. I just did the math. 96 gallons of piss. almost 20 of those 5 gallon jugs for water coolers.

I own a trailer that I stay at in the summer, and we are on a site without septic or sewer. Trailers have two tanks, a blackwater and a greywater. The blackwater for toilet stuff, and the greywater for sink drain. The most common size of tank for a trailer is fifty gallons. (i imagine it is the same for busses)I imagine that the bus driver emptied both tanks, which is where they got the number 800pounds. Most likely both tanks were not full as the greywater tank tends to get full a whole lot faster than the black water tank.

  5. QQC said: "so... youre saying my camel wasted 200 bananas? i agree.

he could have had 700 bananas left on the west siiiiide! "

Not 200 bananas- but about 33.333.

You need to break the problem into three stages. where he carries 3000, bananas, 2000 bananas and 1000 bananas.

As QQC pointed out, it takes him 5 trips to bring all 3000 bananas anywhere. So while he has 3000 bananas, each KM costs 5 bananas. So you want to get 2000 bananas as far as you can. So how far can he go on 1000 bananas of fuel? 1000/5 = 200 KM.

so if he bring the first bunch (1000) 200 KM, he can drop 600, go back for the next bunch, drop 600 and go back. Now he has 1200. He can go back and get the last bunch and bring 800 of them. 2000 at 200KM.

With 2000 bananas, each KM will only cost him 3 bananas. Now, since he needs to carry 2000 and get rid of 1000, and each km takes 3 bananas, he can go 1000/3 = 333.3333 km.

When he gets there he has 1000 bananas left and he can simply walk the rest of the way.

    ending up with 533.3333 bananas.

I saw this question on another forum and didn't verify it anywhere, but I believe that I am correct. I can't see how you could get more across...

  6. A camel is sitting down by a pile of bananas. 3,000 bananas to be exact. He's gotta get as many across the desert that he can, and the desert is 1,000 miles wide. The camel can only carry 1,000 bananas at a time, and he must also eat one for every mile that he walks, in either direction. If he has no bananas with him, he does no walking.

So what is the max number of bananas he can get to the other side, and how does he do it?

  7. Some of you got it. (LR - I did give enough info when I said that the anchor sunk).

    Density = Mass/Volume. Water has a density of 1. since the anchor sunk, m > v.

It displaces based on its mass while in the boat, and volume while at the bottom. since m > v, it displace more water when the anchor is in the boat.

  8. Okay,

So your in a boat in the middle of a lake. Inside the boat is an iron anchor - not attached to a rope.

You throw the anchor into the water and obviously it sinks to the bottom.

My question is this, at point is the water level of the lake the highest (when measured against the shore, not the boat). When the anchor is in the boat or when it is in the water. Or, are they both the same?

Note - I am Assuming that you could actually measure any minute difference here. Also, this lake has no fish, or plants or mud or anything else to interfere with the measurement.

  9. The only good actors in the original 3 movies were:

The guy hired to build the sets (harrison ford)

    and uh...

Well, yoda was good. Is he an actor?

I think that the new movies aren't as good because of expectations. Jaimoes girlfriend probably has zero expectations of any of the movies, and can make unclouded judgement. Where as I am like "well jar jar certainly is a lousy replacement for Chewy"
