The_eKuhnunist
So I'm gonna take this time to do a little hypeage, 'cause, quite honestly, I'm pretty certain there isn't anyone on this board who wouldn't enjoy the show. Flattstreet is a young jazzfunk, jam, groove, R&B group from Hamilton consisting of sax, trumpet, guitar, bass, drums and amazing vocals by Sarah Ruba (don't believe me? Hear her voice here... http://www.flattstreet.ca/flatt/music/SarahRuba/SarahRuba-07Please_Send_Me_Someone_to_Love%20.mp3 ). Forming their own combo while in the Hamilton All-Star Jazz band, most of Flattstreet's members have had the opportunity to perform throughout Europe at premiere festivals like Montreux, Viennes and Zeltmusikfest in the summer of 2003. Flattstreet is now making a name for themselves ont he local scene as energetic and skillful young players. Did I mention these cats are only 19-21 years old? Do yourself a favour and check them out Saturday night at the Casbah. They've been rehearsing every day this week and have some tight shit together. This is an excellent opportunity to catch and support one of Hamilton's youngest, hottest bands.
