Guest Low Roller
Well rumours have it that Apple, the company famous for its multimedia driven PCs is looking into buying Universal Music for $6 billion. Universal Music has a massive catalogue of artists under contract including Sting, Sonic Youth, John Scofield, Rusted Root, Portishead, Robert Plant, Beck, Peter Gabriel, Herbie Hancock, Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King, Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, U2, not to mention the hip-hop money pit with Dr.Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Method Man, Redman, DMX, and the punk-rock with Sum-41, Blink-182, and any other band with a number in it. Anybody else thinking that Apple has something up their sleeve involving boosting iMac sales by making a legal, Apple-exclusive, file-swapping system based on a one-time licensing fee once you buy a new iMac to trade Universal Music licensed songs? Not dumb at all...
