SteveThe Owl
Every once in a while I feel I'm being a little too self-indulgent by dragging my literary life -- which has always shaped my love of music and vice-versa -- onto this board. Then I have moments like like this that I simply must share as they are so transcendant. On Saturday 29 July, Cathy the Owlette and I attended a semi-clandestine reading of bpNichols's multi-book poem the martyrology put on by jw curry in the gazebo on Parliament Hill. The idea was to see how far he could get through the poem; the reading started at 8:30pm and ended past 1:00am when everyone just got too sleepy (it was getting cold, too) at the end of Book 3. The cops didn't bug us, either, which was really appreciated.Photo by Charles Earl. That's me in the Led Zep tshirt.

(Not to diss bouche's awesome photographic talents, just to add more lenses!)
